Mid-Michigan Brew Pub & Bar

eaton pub & grille & charlotte brewing co.

You really have to see the picturesque setting the property has to offer. Check out their photos and you'll get an idea of how gorgeous it really is. With the Pergola nestled along the banks of the Grand River, the elegant Medovue Hall and the brand new lodging facilities, the English Inn has it all. I would describe the English Inn as a destination wedding location that's close to home. Being a beer house, the menu is heavy on appetizers that quaffers can munch-on while sipping their favorite flight. Strolling immediately to the bar, Fabio, who we discovered was very knowledgeable of the area, greeted us and presented the beer list.

Reviews for Eaton Pub and Grille

After several hours of driving, I was parched, and this mild, not-so-hoppy ale hit the spot. EVERYTHING I have had has been awesome. I never thought anyone in Charlotte would have had this kind of menu. The lettuce wraps and pud salad are both amazing.

April of 2024 saw a mainly westerly flow pattern across Rockies, bringing periods of warm, dry and windy weather to south central and southeast Colorado. This pattern also brought increased fire danger days to much of the snow free areas across the region. Great Food

Ten seasonal beers like Hunter’s Moon (an Oktoberfest-style beer) and seven specialty beers. Of the latter, the German influenced Rauchbier called Engine #1 was interesting. Instead, after sampling several, I settled on the smooth, Copper Mountain amber ale.

Our bar offers 90 different brands of bottled beer, along with a top-shelf selection of liquor. You’ll love our family-friendly atmosphere. I almost went with the bluegill but was convinced it could not be as good as Huntington Street’s here in Lake Country. Noticing a plate of the mini seafood platter come out, I jumped on that.

It makes it so nice when the level of passion and commitment align between our company and the venues we are working at and English Inn and Limelight couldn't be a better match. Elegance, quality, and memorable are just a few terms I would use to describe the English Inn and they are definitely on the top of our recommendation list. The latter is a Bakery, country store and restaurant in an old school house just outside of town. First, try refreshing the page and clicking Current Location again. The following graphics depict monthly temperature and precipitation departures from normal across the state for the past month of April. The English Inn sets the bar as far as quality and customer service. Our staff loves working with the English Inn because of the level of professionalism and attention to detail when it comes to making the bride and groom happy.

The plate included four butterflied shrimp, a crab cake and a tasty tavern battered slab of cod. Leading off with a side salad with a yummy, house-made blue cheese dressing, I was in overload. The English Inn is highly praised by multiple reviewers as a stunning and magical wedding venue.

Boulder Dushanbe Tea House Boulder a MICHELIN Guide Restaurant

The oxidation that takes place is largely responsible for the flavor, color and strength of black tea. This stops any enzyme action or oxidation of the leaves and fixes the juices in the leaf. Many green teas are rolled or shaped using traditional techniques, creating a vast array of leaf styles from which to choose. Some teas may be lightly “fluffed” such as the Silver Dragon, while others may be flattened during a pan-firing process, like the Longjing (Dragonwell). The taste or character of green tea is heavily determined by the time of plucking, shoot maturity, geographic and weather conditions and cultivation method.

Brewing the Perfect Cup of Tea

Did you know that all of our teas are available to purchase online? Visit our online Tea Shop to place an order and have it delivered right to your door. The 7 bronze statues of the Seven Beauties, characters in a traditional folk tale, were an exciting surprise when we opened the crates that the Teahouse was packed in. Today the Beauties make up the gorgeous central fountain of the Teahouse. The Exterior of the Teahouse boasts hand crafted ceramic mosaic tiles and a roof border of exquisite beauty and craftsmanship. The rose gardens in front of the Teahouse include over 50 varieties of heirloom roses, which were first grown in Central Asia.

Skillful timing and careful handling during this process determine the final outcome in your cup. The teas can range from 8% oxidation levels, to 80% oxidation levels. This wide variance creates a spectrum of flavors, colors, and aromas that range from very green to dark full brews. Leaf styles can also range from full, unrolled styles like the Phoenix Oolong, to tightly rolled selections like the Ti Kuan Yin. Although oolongs may initially seem more expensive than other types of tea, they are designed to be infused several times.

The work was crafted by hand exactly as it was centuries ago. Inside the Teahouse, there are 12 intricately carved cedar columns. In Central Asia, teahouses serve as gathering places where friends meet to talk or play chess over a cup of tea.

The Catbird Hotel

Afternoon tea is a special treat the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse. Enjoy white linens, tiers of sweet and savory pastries and a pot of premium tea. Who would operate it once open, and how — as a museum, teahouse or restaurant? The discussions took time, but eventually, thanks to a few stalwart champions of the project, the project came together at last. Afternoon Tea is one of our most popular offerings, with a traditional linen-draped table, a three-tiered serving tray with sweet and savory delicacies, and a pot of our premium tea. Today, we can enjoy this afternoon break as a relaxing respite from the fast pace of modern world.

Only the newest, downy tips were meticulously harvested to create tea that was used as “tribute tea” for the emperor. Today we can find two major styles of white tea; traditional “buds only” tea, such as Silver Needle, and the “bud and leaf” style, such as White Peony (bai mu dan). The bud and leaf style tea offers a more economical choice and broadens the availability of the tea. The increased awareness and marketability of white tea has influenced other tea producing regions to try their hands at white tea production as well. With the Orthodox method, tea is plucked by hand, and every step of the production process is overseen by an actual human being. Although many small farms now use some power equipment, the entire process is carefully and meticulously monitored.

Our Teahouse accurately reflects this artistic tradition that dates back nearly 2,000 years. The master woodcarvers, including Manon Khaidarov and Mirpulat Mirakhmatov who helped reassemble the Teahouse here, have carved their names in the ceiling. The artisans who have painted it have written their names on a green painted area above the entry to the kitchen. A message carved in the ceiling reads “artisans of ancient Khojand whose works are magical”. Forty Tajik artisans hand-made the teahouse over a period of two years, took it apart, and then packed the pieces into about 200 crates to be shipped to Boulder. The trades used by the artisans were passed from generation to generation within families, such as the use of nature, and repetition of patterns, descendant from traditional Persian design.

Sitting alongside Boulder Creek in Central Park, the Teahouse is considered one of Boulder’s most attractive and popular tourist attractions, as well as being a local favorite for great food, tea, and atmosphere. In the 7th Century BC, the area we now know as Tajikistan was settled at the eastern periphery of the Persian Empire. Situated a bit south of the Silk Road trails, the area has seen invasions by Alexander the Great, Mongols, Arabs, Turks, and Russians. Today, Tajikistan, with a population of 7 million, is about the size of Iowa, and is bordered to the east by China, to the north by Uzbekistan and Kyrgystan, and to the south by Afghanistan.

This quality drastically reduced the “per pot” price, and each infusion yields its own special flavor and characteristic. This hand-built gift from Dushanbe, Boulder's sister city in Tajikistan, offers a respite from quotidian life. Walk through the front garden and you'll be instantly transported to a zen-filled, magical space. If the bucolic setting doesn't lower your blood pressure, the stunning interior that transports you to a faraway culture will. As the name suggests, tea is the raison d'être here, and the selection is comprehensive. From apple strudel and samosas to feijoada and plov (a buttery rice dish studded with chickpeas, dried fruit and grilled beef), the menu reads like a world explorer's diary.

Nizami uses the well documented events to explore the themes social justice, morality, and appreciation of nature. The poem is notable for its deep content and social sense, as well as its rich composition and prominent poetic value. Throughout history, tea has influenced world politics and shaped international events. From the British colonization of India, to the Boston Tea Party, tea has played an integral role in global trade relations. We sincerely love Boulder, and we’ve been so fortunate that the Teahouse really suits the people of this area with its focus on health, sustainability and culture.

At The Teahouse, there is a 4% Kitchen & Farmer Living Wage Surcharge added to each Guest check to address the growing wage disparity among restaurant team members. This fee goes directly to our hardworking and creative kitchen staff. The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is nestled against the Rocky Mountain Foothills in Boulder Colorado.

The city of Dushanbe sent a small crew to Boulder to help assemble the teahouse. The Boulder-Dushanbe Teahouse finally opened to the general public in May 1998. And once locals could see its intricate and colorful beauty on display, any lingering concerns turned to praise. Afternoon Tea was started by the Duchess of Bedford when she asked her maid to bring her tea and snacks in the afternoon to counteract the “sinking” feeling she had between lunch and dinner. She began inviting friends to share the snack with her, and the habit of the social afternoon tea quickly became an English tradition. Visit our blog to learn more about tea, it's origins, history, and individual tea profiles.

Both cities are about the same size, share the same latitude and have similar topography. The establishment of sister cities was a grassroots effort to connect people across cultures. Tea serves as the center of social structure in Tajikistan.

This 1926 historic landmark hotel in Santa Monica has built a fabled reputation, while its location has drawn high-profile visitors since its debut as a members-only resort. Following a $60-million renovation in 1999, Casa del Mar continues to attract the rich and famous.

Built in 1933, The Georgian is a hard hotel to miss, and even better, 100 percent of its rooms have a view of the ocean. Its Art Deco, bright aqua façade is as distinctive as the celebrities it has hosted, which include Clark Gable and Carole Lombard. But its history is even more intriguing than the celebrity stars who have visited - the hotel was actually one of L.A.’s first speakeasies during Prohibition, drawing infamous characters like Bugsy Siegel and Fatty Arbuckle.

In the fall of 2016, the new owners of Hotel Figueroa are poised to unveil a comprehensive revitalization that includes a restoration of its original 1920s Spanish Colonial beauty. The renovation project of the 268-room property will include updated contemporary guest rooms; signature culinary venues; an expansive, enhanced pool area among other amenities. Both were 14-year veterans of the department assigned to the task force. Three members of the marshals’ task force were fatally shot, Jennings said. One of those killed was a deputy US marshal, 48-year-old Thomas M. Weeks, who is survived by his wife and four children, according to the US Marshals Service. Jennings said 12 CMPD officers fired their weapons during the incident, all of whom have been placed on administrative leave pending a standard officer-involved shooting investigation. Charlotte Wire and Cable was begun in 1993 and is a specialty electrical wire and cable distributor that sells exclusively to electrical distributors.

In 2022, there were 331 officers shot in the line of duty, including 62 by gunfire and 32 killed in ambush-style attacks, according to the Fraternal Order of Police. The year before, 346 officers were shot in the line of duty, including 63 by gunfire, the data shows. The compound tragedy adds to a growing list of officers shot and killed in the line of duty this year. At least 98 officers were shot in the line of duty from January through March, according to the Fraternal Order of Police, an organization representing US law enforcement officers. “I can’t remember an incident where three law enforcement officers were killed in the same incident, as well as one in critical condition and additional (officers) that were shot and injured,” Jennings said. The officers were met with gunfire from a “high-powered rifle” and returned fire, fatally shooting the suspect.

While theories behind any violent crime vary, the FBI has tried to piece together an explanation of why some people attack police officers. One CMPD officer who was injured by gunfire, Christopher Tolley, remains hospitalized in stable condition after undergoing surgery, Jennings said. Two other officers who were shot, Michael Giglio and Jack Blowers, were released on Monday after being treated. Two of the officers killed, Sam Poloche and Alden Elliott, worked for the state’s Department of Adult Correction, according to Todd Ishee, the department’s secretary.

The police chief described the shooting as “the most tragic one” he had been involved with in his 32-year-long law enforcement career. The internal law enforcement memo gives a detailed outline of Monday’s shooting, revealing law enforcement agents approached the suspect outside of a home. The shooting in Charlotte happened as members of a US Marshals fugitive task force were serving a warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the Shannon Park neighborhood, Jennings said. “I ask that all Charlotteans keep them, the other injured officers, and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time,” Lyles said. Another officer, Justin Campbell, broke his foot and was released from the hospital Tuesday morning after being treated, according to a release from the police department.

Authorities identified the deceased suspect as 39-year-old Terry Clark Hughes Jr. He was wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts of felony flee to elude out of Lincoln County, North Carolina, police said. Jennings said during a Tuesday news conference the investigation is active and ongoing. If you make a purchase by clicking one of the links, we may earn an affiliate fee.

Hughes then jumped out of the second story window onto an awning and officers shot and killed Hughes, the memo said. The increased violence against police officers in the past few years mirrors the broader rise in shootings and violence in the US since 2020. As law enforcement agents set up a perimeter around the residence, the memo said, Hughes opened fire with what was likely an AR-15-style rifle from a second-story window, striking 8 officers, the memo said. One of the fatally wounded officers, Joshua Eyer, died from his injuries “with his wife and family by his side” after fighting for several hours, police said. The six-year veteran of the CMPD is survived by his wife and 3-year-old son, Jennings said during a Monday evening news conference. An internal law enforcement memo reviewed by CNN shows officers are looking for the person who bought the firearm used in the shooting to potentially bring federal charges.

Pro Soccer Wire operates independently, though, and this doesn’t influence our coverage. Police initially believed there might have been another suspect shooting from inside the residence, but Jennings told CNN on Tuesday it’s likely Hughes was moving through different parts of the home. Portland suffered a 3-2 road loss to Los Angeles FC in its most recent game on April 27, getting outshot 22 to 10. Jennings said the task force had been serving the warrant to that suspect. Four other law enforcement officers were shot during the incident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said Monday evening. (CNN) — Four officers were killed in a shooting while attempting to serve a warrant at a home in Charlotte, North Carolina, including one deputy US marshal and two local task force officers, authorities say. There were 378 officers shot in the line of duty in 2023 – the highest number on record since the Fraternal Order of Police began tracking the data. They included 46 officers killed by gunfire and 20 killed in ambush-style attacks, according to the Fraternal Order of Police.

Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics: Luxury Makeup & Skincare

Whether the product looked smoothing depended on the shade as some were more flattering to wear than others. They lasted between three and five hours, were hydrating, and didn't feather/bleed on me despite being a creamier, more emollient consistency; they seemed to adhere better than a true lip balm, but they were still comfortable to wear. The formula had a subtle, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste. The shades tended to have mostly opaque to opaque color coverage rather than "medium coverage." In person, Tilbury’s eyes are an electric blue-green that pops, especially when rimmed with her signature thick, elongated violet eyeliner (if you’d like to learn how to make your eye color stand out like hers, you can “Shop by Eye Colour” on the website). She is famous, like Dolly Parton, for sleeping in her makeup.

PILLOW TALK PUSH UP LASHES! MASCARASUPER BLACK 10 ML

This lipstick balm formula was created to leave lips looking plumper, smoother, and more hydrated while giving them a happy glow. It glides on with a nourishing, cushiony, dewy-soft, gloss finish, and features high-performance, hydrating color your lips will love. The finish was exceptionally shiny, and it did give the illusion of plumper lips.

Top 10 Scariest Haunted Houses in the U S. to Visit in 2021

The Bates Motel and Bates Psycho Path (GET IT?) have been dazzling visitors for 30 years with a particularly slick experience featuring animatronic props actors, and digital FX. The third attraction, the monster-filled Revenge of the Scarecrows Haunted Corn Trail, features walk-through sets and over 30 actors in creepy costume. In 2021, though, those actors won't be touching anyone—masks are also required, and there's a temperature check at the door. Joe Couto and his team describe their experiences as paranormal investigators. They also describe how a typical investigation is run through their group. Experience restless spirits from spectral actors or their former ghostly theatre staff with a mission.

Despite its architectural allure, Fond du Lac’s unique Octagon House hides a gloomy story. It’s whispered that a tragic accident claimed the life of one of the owner’s daughters within these walls. Today, visitors report chilling sensations, especially around the stairwell, coupled with the disturbing ring of summoning bells and eerie nocturnal screams. Mandan’s Fort Abraham Lincoln Custer House is said to be haunted by Lt. Col Custer and Mrs. Custer, who lived in the home for a mere two years.

The women's story (and star power!) was made famous in a 1975 documentary by Albert and David Maysles. By 1913, it was sold to the president of a coal company whose wife, Anna Gilman Hill, imported ornate concrete walls from Spain to enclose the garden. The house was called Grey Gardens because of the color of the dunes, the cement garden walls, and the sea mist. Later, in 1923, the home was sold to Edith Bouvier Beale—the parental aunt of Jackie Onasis Kennedy and Lee Radziwill—and her family.

From the house where the Black Dahlia murders took place, to the house Hudson B. Gillis loved so much he never wanted to leave, all of them will leave you questioning “reality”. The spirit in this case is thought to be that of a man who had been living in the house from 1910 to, apparently, this day. This included seeing frightening figures, hearing voices from the wall, fires breaking out without sources and a haunting feeling which drives the inhabitants into depression.

As the night wound down, Saenz asked Limon to drive him and another man to Torres’ home. Limon needed to use the restroom, so he parked the limousine and accompanied his passengers to the front porch. The driver said he was returning to Los Angeles from Pittsburgh, where he’d gone to visit family. In the trunk Lineback found dryer sheets, which the deputy said can be used to mask the smell of drugs. After hearing Saenz had gone to see his grandmother, Garriola installed a camera on a telephone pole facing her house. A rare type of cancer killed Pena while he was still behind bars, said Deputy Dist.

Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California

Just like the best-selling book about the Amityville house turned into a national sensation, this modern instance of demonic possession went viral. The good news is that the Ammons family was able to find peace when they moved to Indianapolis, but the story, and the house itself, were still getting tons of attention. An outside entrance leads to a rendezvous with ghosts and witches in the cellar or attic. In Salem, The House of the Seven Gables is one of the city's oldest homes, built in 1668 and immortalized by Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 novel of the same name. Visitors have claimed to hear a woman's voice, possibly Vanderbilt's wife, Edith, calling his name, and some say they've spotted ghostly apparitions.

A year after the brutal murders, the Lutz family moved into the house, which still housed much of the original furniture and decor from its previous tenants. Then, just 28 days after moving in with their three young children, the Lutzes fled the house in a panic. Not long after, they worked with author Jay Anson on the best-selling book-turned-hit movie, The Amityville Horror, which tells the dramatic (and controversial) tale of the demonic and "unseen forces" that drove them out.

If you’re in the Santa Clarita area and are a fan of all things haunted, you may be familiar with The Darm Realm, Restless Souls Manor, and The Farm, all iconic home haunts in the area for several years in their own rights. Many Americans believe that their home is inhabited by ghosts, a conviction that researchers attribute to the rise of paranormal-related media, a decline in religious beliefs and the pandemic. Paranormal investigators say that homes hold on to the accumulated energy of everyone who has previously lived there or that tragedy and sadness can cause a spirit to linger, hoping to correct the pains of the past before they move on. Located across from one of Savannah, Georgia's, most famous and pristine squares (Monterey Square in the city's historic district), the Mercer-Williams house dates back to 1860. In the 1970s, famed preservationist and antiques dealer Jim Williams restored the home to its former glory after years of neglect. The grand East Hampton estate known as Grey Gardens has a fascinating history with many ups and downs.

Carbon monoxide poisoning has been cited as a cause of suspected hauntings. If there is an expectation of a preternatural encounter, it is more likely that one will be perceived or reported. The waiters at this inn won't be the only ones dressed up in Civil War-era clothes—keep an eye out for long-dead Confederate soldiers clad in similar outfits. During the Battle of Gettysburg, many of the South's soldiers died while hiding in this home, which explains the one-hundred-plus bullet pocks in the brick walls. After the fighting in the area was over, the house became a hospital for soldiers. You can learn about the weird supernatural occurrences that continue to take place on the property by booking a ghost tour or an overnight stay.

He is reluctant to spill his secrets, but it’s only a matter of time before he joins the others in unburdening his soul. Charged with murdering Ponce and Hernandez, Pena pleaded guilty and was sent to the California Youth Authority. He told detectives in 1998 a Jesuit priest had given him hope of finding a new life after prison. Saenz said he needed to talk to his girlfriend and told Hunnicutt to go to a friend’s house. After he got out, Saenz fathered a child with his girlfriend, Sigreda Fernandez, who raised the baby girl at her mother’s home in Aliso Village.

In the tapestry of American folklore, certain homes have become famous for the tales of the restless spirits within their walls, and each has a spine-chilling story to tell. The franchise kicked off with 2015’s Hell House LLC, which quickly gained a following as one of the best of the found-footage space. The film follows a documentary crew investigating a haunted house attraction called “Abaddon Hotel,” where a tragedy occurred during its opening night.

The Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride

Evangelical Christians even made their own anti-Halloween attractions; Jerry Falwell and Liberty University introduced one of the first "hell houses" in 1972. The Punderson Manor in Newbury is a historic mansion that operates as a lodge today. The lodge is said to be haunted by the ghosts of its former owners and guests. Visitors have reported seeing apparitions, hearing strange noises, and feeling cold spots. The best haunted houses in Los Angeles run the gamut from homegrown horrors to big-budget amusement park productions—unsurprisingly, the home of Hollywood horror films takes its Halloween events very seriously. The soundtrack has also been changed to featuring cinematic Star Wars music but with a dark, horror twist. During the exclusive outing, guests will venture through the hidden chamber that has been changed to ultraviolet light, giving the attraction a cosmic feel. As the story goes, a long time ago, in a town not so far away, there was a textile mill where many workers were tortured. Friends and neighbors have posted a petition drive called “Save the Sherman Oaks Boney Island Treehouse.” Polizzi is deeply grateful for the support but isn’t sure how the signatures can slow down the process. Over the next few years, he went back and forth with city inspectors – spending, he says, more than $40,000 of his own money to modify the house, and even entertaining a suggestion that he hire police to provide security.

The Adams House in Deadwood was a testament to Harris Franklin’s vision for his family. Generations cherished this home until it transitioned into a museum in the 1990s. If you're one of those travelers who longs for adventures filled with ghost stories and goosebumps, consider adding one of the most haunted houses in America to your travel list — some of them even let guests spend the night. Paranormal experts say this colonial-era property is haunted to the gills. In the 1970s, the Perron parents and five daughters experienced a demon or poltergeist that physically harmed the family in a plethora of ways, including a scythe falling from a barn beam to nearly decapitate the mother. Ed and Lorraine Warren showed up to tackle the malevolence—events loosely portrayed in the movie The Conjuring. When the Snedeker family lived here in the 1980s, the drama they experienced in this haunted house (and former funeral home) was so crazy that it inspired a popular horror flick called The Haunting in Connecticut. During a two-year span, the Snedeker parents claimed to have been physically assaulted and sodomized by demonic spirits and said a creepy man with long black hair often visited their son Philip.

British Prime Minister Winston Churchill reportedly encountered Lincoln's ghost as well, while he was stepping out of the bathtub. Yankee Jim isn't the only specter, though — both Mr. and Mrs. Whaley, a young girl, and even the family dog have been known to make appearances from beyond the grave. Commerce Department officially classified it as haunted in the 1960s. See the Whaley House Museum for yourself via a tour with Ghosts and Gravestones, which now also offers night tours of the house for those really looking for a thrill.

Their eldest son, Ronald DeFeo Junior, went unharmed and he was ultimately charged with the murders. If you're into ghost-hunting shows, you probably already know about this famous haunted house. The unassuming home in Atchison, Kansas, is rumored to be the dark lair for a demon who takes on the form of a little girl, stemming from a family's bizarre experiences there. This rambling Victorian mansion sits on a busy street in San Jose, California, and according to legend, it's haunted by the ghosts of everyone ever killed by a Winchester rifle. In order to appease them, the house's owner, Sarah Winchester, the heir to the Winchester rifle fortune (and the founder's widow), kept adding on rooms to the house to make more space for the dead. This house is the site of a grim murder where in 1974 a son killed his parents and four siblings by gun.

St. Louis’ Lemp Mansion, once the crown jewel of the Lemp brewing dynasty, witnessed the tragic demise of four family members. Presently serving as a restaurant and inn, diners and lodgers say they often share their space with the restless Lemp spirits. Standing tall for three centuries, the venerable Hager House in Hagerstown is a repository of lives and legacies. Having transitioned to a museum in 1944, its spectral residents have made their presence felt. Phantom figures, said to have been sighted by guests, include a contemplative lady by the window, a solemn man occupying the porch and a little girl with a peculiar affinity for female guests. In Atchison, believers say a physician’s home from the 1900s, now named the Sallie House, resonates with the cries of a young girl subjected to a hasty, painful operation.

But for every Stephen Sondheim masterpiece there’s a barrage of jukebox and movie musicals eager to cash in on the forgiving nostalgia of theatergoers. Admittedly, the book by playwright Jackie Sibblies Drury and director and choreographer Justin Peck is more of an evolving scenario than a discernible drama. A compromise is struck between the theater’s proclivity for story and dance’s penchant for abstraction, allowing audience members to connect narrative strands in their own way.

Participants can expect claustrophobia, electrical shocks, moving floors, foul odor, strobe lighting, projectiles, fog, darkness, dizziness, suffocation, disorientation, and loud noises. This year, they’ve announced their “biggest, newest production in their 25-year history,” so prepare to be thoroughly shocked because they’re only getting scarier. This festival is definitely the scary version of Halloween, which comes back to life at Knott’s Berry Farm each year. Also, watch out for nightly performances by Monte Revolta, the undead irreverent lounge singer from beyond the grave. The festivities are set amongst the foothills and neighborhood of Midnight Falls and spread throughout Griffith Park to Midnight Falls Town Square right in the city. After cleaning up the glass, Mr. Booth came back to his room, where all of the clothes he had just folded were scattered and strewn about, he said.
